"Gomes has been brilliant, a great personality and I've loved working with him and it's the same with Ben. It's a great team to work with."

So the elusive Brazilian has joined us finally, I was a bit confused as to what was going on with him...

You paint an interesting picture about the state of football and its followers. I find it hard, however, to take seriously your comments about what would make you happy considering you have to antagonize other fans on another team's blog to get your jollies off.

You must be a lonely, lonely man, Oi Oi.

'The Cage'

I have your same optimism, but the game has changed for all fans. Whether we wish for glories to return, or simply to reclaim the working classes game from the freeloaders and/or part time masses, it would appear that the game has gone and left us forever.

The one thing that remains is the animosity felt between rivals, the one feeling that surpases all monetary and players' values.

I'd meet each and every person on this site, but the meeting would be quick and formal, quickly degenerate into a difference of opinions and we would each leave the respective place with the same initial outview.

We're it not for the mutual animosity we all feel, I would have left the game behind as a byline to my weekends, and show it as much passion as I could the egg chasers, tennis, darts, snooker, etc etc.

I'm glad I'm hated on here - it shows that in our small way we can remind ourselves how important our role is within the game, and how little the powers that be can affect it. 'When saturday comes' will cease to be, our most venomous games will be played on tuesday afternoons to suit the advertisers and program makers, but still, you have gained 7 months banter from your pathetic little victory, and I have gained 7 months retorts remind you of how little it matters.

Roll on next season with each of us having our own ambitions, and each to his own level of ambition, were 6puds to reach 4th place next season, you be overwhelmed, were the Mighty Arsenal to do the same I would be underwhelmed.

But show me another 6 points like last season, and I'll be happy till the next time we do it.

Sorry, but I'm not a 6puds plaything - I'm not here to entertain, my purpose is to pour scorn on your very dreams and append reality to your own dream of global domination.

I deal in facts, bespoke to my arguments. These facts pertain to the break-up of MJ's team and the ambitious gambles made by Ramos toward the future, and towards it's impending failure.

Hornchurch - yep, stood practically everywhere on the shelf over the years. Would be great to have the old ground back for just one game so everyone could experience it. Not sure what they would make of it though.
Think you are right about Ramos rating Hudd and a DM would make us more solid too. These papers are ripping into us at the moment, full of rubbish about Keane/Berbatov, time to don our Tin Hats I think :) So long as Levy stands firm we have a good season to look forward to.

Nah i didnt take offence mate but i did disagree with what you said. Obviously not every buy has (or can - lets face it) been a resounding success from Spain (although I do think Arbeloa will come good, maybe!) but I'd say the majority have been and Rafa has been quick to discard any failures

I do agree with you in that I have been dissapointed in our progress since the Big Cup win in that I was expecting us to be challenging for the league by now tho.

As for Garcia, I loved him and loathed him in equal measure tbh. In some games he was sublime and scored some very important goals for us, especially in the Champo League (Chelsea, Juventus etc). In other games, however, he can be incredibly frustrating - when he tries to do 3 step-overs in our own half when all he needed to do was pass the fucking ball - or completely anonymous.

Saying that, he was a fan favourite and a lot of people were sad to see him go. I'll think he'll be good for you lot, he plays the way Spurs like to play, and has a lot of tricks to entertain the crowd with.

I'll certainly be wishing him luck at WHL, except when you play against us!
