The Incredible Richards
Beast of a man but importantly, a young, English beast of a man, Micah Richards is attracting a great deal of attention this season not only in his sky blue colours but also for the national U21 side as well. Along with the world and his wife, namely Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, MJ and the White Hart crew have figured ‘in for one young England defender, in for the lot’ and are luzzing their love spuds onto this barbecue as well.
Sensibly, they at Man City have immediately whacked a £5m sticker straight on the 18 year old defender’s spam with a resounding slap and have probably got the photocopier repair man in to fix the paper jam before they shove a contract under his nose as well. For all of you not familiar with Micah, here’s his head (warning: not for the faint of heart)…

…don’t make him angry. You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry. Look at this one as well…

…do his shoulders ever end or is he poking his head up above a lorry?
Micah is not a giant at 5′11″ but with 82 kilos of scary, scary mass, he’s bigger than the proverbial shithouse. How do we know he’s bigger? Because he ate it. There is no shithouse any more. It lies mostly digested in the pan and round the u-bend at Micah’s mum’s place mixed with the twelve sows he had for Sunday lunch.
Well, he’s good and he may even be 5 million good and as much as my head tells us he wont be coming to us, there is a little something in my gut, aside my cornflake breakfast, that tells me he’s a Spurs man. He just has that aura about him. We’ll see but between he and Curtis Davies, we may well be looking at another young Englishman come January.
If Tottenham want an easier transfer target, then they’ve got one. Zokora’s Ivory Coast buddy, Ndri Romaric, is up for a move to the Premiership and he starts his case very well indeed with the words,
“I like Tottenham, who are have a great side which tries to annoy the bigger ones.
Yes, playing there is a dream.”
Slightly backhanded but I think we can see the sentiment is there but unfortunately he does screw it up a little with,
“The Premiership is known for being the best league in the world,
The rhythm is intense, and the clubs are great, like Manchester (presumably City) and Arsenal.”
Wait a minute, great clubs like who?
Ndri plays in France at Le Mans at the moment, in the same way as many French speaking African nationals seem to start out and at the presumed age of 23, unless he was born in the same hospital as Obafemi Martins, he’s got his career ahead of him. He’s a pretty big lad at 6′2″ and 88 kg and as for his head, well, here it is…

…a few weeks after going to a fancy dress party as Wes Brown.
The only bad news is that he’s a central midfielder, yawn, yawn, join the queue. So actually, I’d say this rumour has about as much legs as Gary Sinise in Forrest Gump…after the bit where he has his legs blown off.
Life is like a box of bagels.
The Bagel.
