Im a massive fan of Martin Jol and no one can argue that he has taken massive strides in bringing us on BUT is this as far as we can go under him?
The tactics lately and team selection has left me slighty bemused of recent games and none more so ever than the 2 games against the scum in the league cup. Berbatov gets injured he brings keane on when surely mido would have been the better choice. The system we were playing was working well we were 2-0 up and playing well so why change the sytem by bringing keane on the left and from that point on the game changed dramatically. SO the second leg he play gardner at centre half which my nan is a better centre half and leaves rocha on the bench with mido which gave us zero ariel threat at the other end. So that leads me to point is this as far as Martin Jol can take us?

fzn 1976, the answer to your question is, in my opinion, NO. Not because I know he'll come good, but because I believe we've seen enough potential in him to give him a few more seasons. I don't think the lack of managerial continuity in the last god-knows-how-many-years has done our beloved Spurs any favours, so I am for giving MJ the time he needs (unless the sh*t is on its way to hitting the preverbial, of course). Just look at what continuity has done for the likes of Manure and Assenal! Manure were, as far as I understand, close to sacking Fergie when he initially failed to set the place alight. Not that I would put MJ in the same managerial bracket yet, but I think he has the potential.

Managerial continuity is likely to achieve continuity with the players, and we do have a lot of talent in the squad, and provide some much needed stability.

Jol is a fantastic manager and this is no more than a blip, it will go away hopefully today and we will be thankful for all the MR Jol (sir) has brought to the club. We are all passionate about our club but i suggest some of you look at the last 15 years and see what real spurs fans have been through ! Jol has been our savour and i believe he will build a great side before he "decides" to leave not when the minority of fans think its time....

Thats my opinion thought some of the posts ive seen around the net are just LUDICROUS and the people that write them are defiantly not spurs fans..

Look at last season nearly the same bunch of players and we were better than 2 of the top 4 all season ! We have tried to sign bigger players to bolster the squad but the bigger ones failed to come so maybe we panic brought which i don't think would be down to Jol (well not all anyway)
