Maybe he will be as good as Flamini - a one season wonder, demand loads of cash and go to Milan to play CL football, someone forgot to tell him there are 2 teams in Milan, and only one is gonna play CL football next term - oops.

I guess Arseblogger has the same expert eye as myself - I’ve shamelessly plugged his site here before, his blog being voted the best online sports blog last year, a well deserved accolade.

If Modric had managed to score from a header on the half way line, I would have congratulated him, similarly, any back heeled goal from his own penalty area would have recieved praise.

The flip side of that coin is slating him for playing badly against a poor Austrian side.

Oi Oi (the fool) also nicked a quote from the chap that writes Arseblog when Modric joined. On Arseblog it was said about Modric after signing that ” he is now officially a cunt”. And lo and behold, Oi Oi popped up the next day and posted the exact same comment. I couldn’t be arsed to mention it at the time as it just seemed par for the cousre for the plum that is Oi Oi.

I seem to recall Oi Oi slating peoples lack of imagination by using the old CTRL+C and CTRL+V function. There is something distinctly similar with his posts here and the blog written on Arseblog today. Unless of course Oi Oi you are indeed the Arseblogger.

For quotes sake I will use copy and paste this once.

Playing a ‘blinder’ as a central midfielder against a very mediocre Austrian team, you would perhaps expect him to create some chances, which he didn’t, be in control of the game, in which he kept disappearing, and to win better than a early penalty.

As I said, very average - big eye opener for him in the PL.

He looks a little lightweight too, but I expect Paul Robinson can help him with that.

He Played a blinder yesterday against Austria.
