You can take the boy out of the south but you can’t take the south out of the boy. I may reside in darkest Lancashire but my roots are very much in the south, as are those of my son, Mini Yid

With us already qualified for Europe the season run in holds no excitement, I suppose as we have all agreed. But why oh why are we putting in displays like yesterday’s against middlesbrough. We dominated the first half, though only scored through an own goal. Come the second half, we let them back in, swithed off (no doubt already thinking of whatever beach on whatever far flung island they’ll be lounging on in a few weeks time) & you new it was only a mater of time before they equalised. They damn near got the win.

Is it too much to ask that, now we have our European place, can we play somemore stylish, entertaining football for the final few games? We, the fans sho enough loyalty to deserve atleast this, don’t we?

I’ll be at wigan next Saturday with Mini Yid, as this is the last game we can get to this season, I would like us to see a decent performance

I understand your feelings chaps and I feel pretty much the same until I actually get to the games and I remember that beyond anything else, there’s, fingers crossed, usually some good old fashioned entertainment, and that’s enough for me.

Toby, we sort of have broken the Â£50k mark but not in a overt way. It’s all been done with built in bonus schemes that guarantee that certain players average out at over that amount but we have as yet to say that anyone is officially raking in the big bucks and I think that’ll be what it takes.
