D-Day

It’s going to be a hell of an ask this evening but fuck me doesn’t that just make it all the more exciting? Anything is possible from now until that 90 minutes is up if we’re all as charged as this, how do you think the players feel? Just listen to this lot:

Robbie Keane:

“We are all really looking forward to it and Arsenal have to get beaten some time at home, why not on Wednesday?

“If anyone thinks this tie is over for one second they have another thing coming.

“People will probably say that they have the advantage but ask anyone in our dressing room and they are really up for this game and raring to go.

“We feel that if we go there and play our best we know we can get that result.

“Berbatov and King are out, but apart from that everyone is fit and it was a big bonus to have Jenas back.”

Robbo:

“We’ve got the players, we’ve got the quality in the squad and we are not far away from doing something.”

Well, yeah about 180 minutes away hopefully.

It’s going to be tough without Ledley and Dimitar the Great but if we can get a few key performances our of say, Keano, JJ, Robbo, Steeeeeed and the back two we’re in with a very good chance. What’s more, I read a quote from Toure, saying that Arsenal need to defend to win. Surely, as a side at their best when they attack, that’s just how to go about losing a tie like this, when with any luck we’re going to come out of the dressing room like vikings in a battle frenzy.

I’ll be here after the game until midnight for the run up until the close of the window, bringing you all the moves and shakes as they come rolling in. There’s already plenty to discuss with possible moves for Mido, Nene, Harewood and even Teddy but we might as well save the fiction till it’s cold, hard fact.

Whatever happens tonight, let’s be proud we’re all Spurs.

COME ON YOU SPURS, COME ON YOU SPURS!

The Bagel.

It will be an interesting evening boys.

You’ll miss Berbatov and King but should have plenty of experience throughout the rest of the team to combat the enthusiasm of our youngsters. We’ll miss Baptista though if he doesn’t make it.

Whatever happens it should be a good spectacle.
